Praise from Lamberg for courageous representatives

"We have good reason to thank the two companies' boards and Boards of Representatives for their foresight and courage," said Arla Foods' Chairman Lars Lamberg. He referred to the merger as an event of historic dimensions and an example of the clear-sightedness and decisiveness of the co-operative movement.
"I'm also delighted that the creation of Europe's largest dairy company has its basis in two of Europe's smaller nations. This will strengthen the values which the Nordic countries represent, both within a European and a worldwide context," added the Chairman who concluded by wishing co-operative owners and staff all the best in their endeavours to make Arla Foods a leader within the worldwide dairy industry.
