On March 1, 2001 Esbjerg Dairy in Southern Denmark started production of a range of UHT products which were formerly produced at Alingsås and Kimstad in Sweden.
Total annual production of these products amounts to 9-10 million litres.

Esbjerg Dairy recently underwent a major expansion programme, which enlarged the stores area significantly and increased the number of bottling lines from 11 to 14. Until further notice the dairy will also produce the flavoured milk drink, Muu, and a soft-ice mix, previously produced at Alingsås and Kimstad respectively. Within the next few weeks the Aldra range of cream products will come on stream to be followed by a 27 per cent double cream and the Kelda sauces, the equivalent of the Karoline range of sauces in other markets.

"So far there have been few technical problems related to the transfer,” said Dairy Manager Jørgen Greve, Arla Foods in Esbjerg.”If anything, it will be the logistics side which will provide a challenge.”
