Arla Foods takes stake in Swedish cheese company

With effect from March 12, 2002, Arla Foods has taken a stake in the Swedish company, Kron Cheese.
Kron Cheese, which was formed in January 1, 2002, comprises three businesses, Skaraborgsost, Ostbörsen and Ostcentralen, packs Swedish and foreign cheese and also makes some own brand products.
"Kron Ost fits in well with Arla Foods' other activities," said Executive Director Hans-Åke Hammarström from the Sweden Division.
Kron Ost employs a staff of 80 and expects an annual turnover of SEK 240 million. The company operates three sites in Sweden.
