Over the next eighteen months, the powder company, Arinco, near Videbæk in Jutland, is doubling its production capacity.
The first phase of the expansion programme comprises the extension of the finished goods store, followed by a new wet and dry mixing plant towards the end of the year.
In 2003, a new spray tower will be erected. Normal production will continue during construction work.
Arinco produces 37,000 tons milk power per year as well as a range of special baby food products.
The expansion is part of Arla Foods’ overall structure plan which was published in June last year.
The plan includes the construction of a new milk powder factory for the Ingredients Division in Vimmerby in Sweden.
