Rising demand from export markets for fat-reduced cream cheese lies behind a new expansion project at Holstebro Flødeost.
The project, which will increase the dairy’s annual capacity from 35,000 tons to approx. 50,000 tons, includes the extension of raw material capacity, production plant, bottling machines and a new building.
The project is expected to be completed in 2004.
As part of the scheme, the present administration building will be demolished and a new administration building will be erected at the current parking area. The new administration building is expected to be ready in early October.
Holstebro Flødeost’s current staff level of 230 is unlikely to be affected by the expansion programme.
